Redlands still on top - winning streak continues
I am still photographing the Redlands Rugby Seniors home games and it is awesome to see them continue undefeated so far this season.  Another convincing win today defeating Sunnybank!
I haven’t been posting shots regularly from the games or the shots published in the paper each week with the match reports as I don’t want to fill up the blog with too much sport - and as I already have a whole other website dedicated to sporting images I would like the blog to be a bit more of an eclectic variety. ;)   So to post 1 rugby image for the month - here is the photograph from yesterday’s paper:

charlie and button - two gorgeous ‘girls’ ;)
There is a well known saying ‘never work with children or animals’ - well I happen to love shooting both ;)   Today’s portrait shoot was something a bit different and had the opportunity to photograph two gorgeous ‘girl’s - Charlie and Button.  Charlie is a pomeranian puppy and Button is a 12 week old Himalaysian kitten - how cute and fluffy can you get!  Also the ‘girl’s had their ‘hair’ done before the shoot and were thoroughly coiffed at Bayside Grooming so that they were at their best ;)
Now having photographed a number of ‘pets’ previously a lot of the times you have to take what you can get when it comes to shots - depending on how well they are behaved (or trained!) and what treats the owners have on hand to assist getting that pose.  Being a cat lover and owner myself, I know from experience that it is almost impossible to ‘pose’ a cat (unless they are asleep and then they still have a mind of their own! lol)
Charlie, was a perfect model and sat and posed beautifully - but Button was a whole different ball game (a fluffy ball that just kept moving!).  We had a lot of laughs - making lots of strange noises and waving treats and toys to try and get the ‘girl’s to look in the right direction to come up with some special portraits - lots of fun! :)   Some shots from the session:

and for a quick special ‘desktop’ image for “K’s” computer screen ;)Â
