About
Greetings and welcome to my blog site - “from both sides of the lens”.    My name is Nicolette and I am a photographer from beautiful Redland City on the south-east bayside of Brisbane, Queensland.   Photography for me is a major passion and creative outlet and I am fortunate to be able to blend this passion as both work and pleasure.  My main love (and what first drew me to photography) is photographing people, however I enjoy shooting many different subjects as well such as sport, action, macro, still life, photo journalism, nature, stock - anything really that captures my imagination or vision. Always interested in trying new things and challenging myself, learning and sharing to continually develop skills and technique as well as meeting others who share an interest in the visually creative.
Why a blog?  Well having kept a combo written photographic journal and scrapbook for a number of years, going online was the next obvious step in this technological age - not only for me to keep track but also to be able to share my photographic journey with friends and family, as well as anyone else interested in photography.
It is my intention for ”from both sides of the lens” to be an informal blog to share not only images but also thoughts and ideas of my visual footprints along life’s journey - of both my personal and professional journey, so it should end up being quite an eclectic collection ;)  Even though it would be great to be able to blog every shoot - I probably won’t have the time and the more time I spend in front of the computer, the less time I get to spend behind the lens ;)  So I plan to update as regularly as I can, or when I am feel the inspiration to blog.
Hope you enjoy looking and reading through the pages - and feel free to comment if something catches your interest or just to say hello.Â
Nicolette
